Anything tighter could choke the baby and anything looser could cause the baby to be injured in an accident. You should also make sure that the chest clip is in the right position, it should be level with your baby's armpits. The purpose of the chest clip is to ensure that the harness straps stay in the correct place in case of an accident. Making sure your baby is secured properly in his/her seat is crucial.
